Fred van der Pal
Had his first lessons on the contra bass at the age of 17. Played in community houses and sports clubs etc. Next step was the Dance & Show orchestra "The Rythme Sellers" of Utrecht.
Swapped from double bass to bass guitar and played in a cover band. I have good memories of playing with accordeon and organ player Rinie v.d. Laan from Utrecht, who unfortunately passed away much too early.
After a break of approx. 30 years, I took up the thread and because of a colleague of my daughter, Diederick, I joined Big Red 'n Blue, kind musicians with whom I felt at ease straight away.
